Hi I'm after some advice I picked my 13plate astra up today over the moon with it... however I want to know what I need to do and what's the easiest option with regards to getting the bluetooth function working when I press config it doesn't bring up the phone menu so what I'm asking is can I take it to a dealer and they do it or isit just as easy and cheaper for me to do it myself and will it work straight away....... no software changing ect
Also id like a usb port however I'm guessing that may be trickier
Cheers x
Dealer will not fit factory fitted BT nor USB because they don't know how to.
There are 2 of us that can fit both and yes they require software changes.
Rusty can sort it all out for you and I can highly recommend him
I got a usb kit for sale bud which rusty fitted and removed from my card
Hi guys thanks for reply.... so what sort of price am I looking to pay and I'm in Bristol so is there anyone on here local
Well the kit I got for sale Ive had it while, it is on the sale part of the forum but happy to let it go for £65 collected or £70 posted.
Rusty is in Bournemouth so only around 2 hour drive for you possibly he would be able to fit and program it, he would be able to enlighten you on price he would charge for fitting and VCI req/programming
Hey that's sounds wicked... so that would be everything I need for rusty to fit? Because when I googled it it's was showing me some wiring loom and multiblock connectors which plug in behind CD player? And that was bloody £250? Sorry if i sound thick I'm a complete amateur x

Yes that includes everything.
To fit and program the cost would be £70, please note it may require 2 visits.
Hi well thanks so much Rusty2009.... now on to the Bluetooth what the best and fairly cheapest way to do it I have been quoted 350 by a vauxhall specialist in Bristol who said that they install meta voice? I just wondered what other options where available to me I do think want a parrot kit or nothing like that? Once again thanks for you help on all this x

I've had both and currently got the iO play2 installed. In my opinion steer clear of the metavoice. I installed it and uninstalled it to return in a day. It was really buggy and not worth the money they ask for it. The parrot is a good system and worth the money especially for the Bluetooth music functionality via all speakers, which the metavoice only supports the front two.
