I can't get offered more than £4400 part exchange so if I can get £5000 il be happy!

Seems expensive with over 121k miles... as you say part ex I'm surprised they offered £4400!
Best of keeping her I suspect, my GTC has 112k miles on a 2.0cdti 12 plate & px they are saying £4700.
Oh and in the description you first say it's got just shy of 20,000 miles.

It's the mileage that's hitting your pocket mate. All too often I see crap right ups on cars for sale, but yours is really good.
Good luck with the sale!

No I've said in the year I've had it I've put just shy of 20k on it!
Il drop it to £4995, I've had offers of £4200, £4400 etc from a few garages now.. Will give it a week and p/ex it if no joy.
The thing that helps my value I think is that it's ready to sell.. Full mot, been serviced, new tyres etc.

Irispective of mileage somebody will buy it at £5k. Mileage aside, its alot of car for the money. Put the mileage back into the picture, a good histoy shows its worth taking the risk on. Lets not forget its a diesel.... 121k is nothing on a well maintained diesel

Got ya... well I will watch with interest this one.

I would think the Navi and alloys are what make the car stand out along with service history. I have had a look at autotrader and there are not many astra j's with over 100k (less than 6 years old) and even fewer going for £5k or above and they are trade sellers. I really hope you get somewhere close to what you want but I would say that £4.5k is more realistic starting price for private sale and £4400 is fantastic from trade in. For example, there's a 2011 Astra 2.0cdti SRi (125k miles) with XP styling pack, 19" alloys and Navi unit going for £3.5k on autotrader right now.
I have to say though that yours looks pristine for it's age, I would be tempted though to add more photos with all the doors open and tailgate open, give people a chance to see her in all her glory.

If it went down the part ex route I would be very tempted to remove the wheels etc

Seriously considering keeping it now due to time wasters but I've already paid £80 and retained my plate

What's your reasoning for getting rid? Just a change?

Had it a year, civic type S caught my eye but then interior put me off. Then started looking at estates (Volvo V50, 330D, A4 Avant etc) but trying to be realistic now and I'm losing a lot of money. I paid £6000ish a year ago standard on 17's

Anyone interested at £4000? Lowest I'm going to take.
Found a perfect replacement but they won't take p/ex. 180bhp, twin turbo, heated leather, xenons.... Yes please
