Just rang dealers to check if I had any recalls outstanding.

They said I had a few but only said the fuel filler cap.

I messaged a couple of people who work at dealerships to find out more.

They drill a hole put a wax in then a bung to stop rust between the pipe and body.

Do you just ring a dealers or do you have the Vauxhall number to check for recalls?

Just ring the dealer and ask if there are any recalls out standing on your car.
Cheers mate I will do! Will try Bristol Street Motors this time as not going back to Evans Halshaw.

Just called and got mine booked in for Monday 1st February Smile is the winter check and top up worth the £30?

Have a look at your levels see if they need topping up.
I think only really need the coolant. I was nearly tempted by the winter pack they give you lol.

Is this a thing only in the UK or does this apply in R.O.I would you know? Do you just ring any opel dealer as the official opel dealer i baught it from has ceased trading?
I would say it's across the board.

But yes ring any Opel dealership.
Sorry just seen this topic. So what do you do, just ring a Vauxhall garage and ask if there are any recalls on your car. And they will check by the reg will they.

Just ring your local dealer and ask if there are any recalls outstanding and they will take your reg and look it up
Just rang my local dealer and they said I had this recall outstanding on my Astra aswell. Just got to book it in now.

So what does this recall do, something to do with preventing rust is it?

They drill hole in the plastic by filler cap & squirt wax in then put a rubber bung in.

Total bodge job if you ask me they could take wheel & wheel liner off and do it properly.
Mine had it done last year when it was serviced, looked very much a "heath robinson" affair !
So what does this recall fix. What was the issue

It's to prevent rust
I couldn't find anything English about it on the web. Only info from this Russian site.

just opened the filler flap to see if mine had been done and a little plastic blanking grommet fell on the ground. there is a horrible looking hole that looks like its been made by mice nibbling at the plastic that I guess it should fit on/in. I think I'll glue it back on.

Just noticed that when I was filling mine up the other day. I was wondering what it was for !
