Yeah only Andy can do it and i spoke to him the other week and he said he's no longer doing these mods as it's too much hassle

The unit itself only needs programming as its already for the wiring changes for the cd 400.

Whilst we're on the subject, is there much involved in upgrading a 500 to a 6/900?
18:th-Nov-2015, 09:59:05
You sure? I always though a lot of the looms needed replacing too, whenever I've been to andys he's been making up looms ready for these upgrades

I seen someone selling the following so I thought it it would just be the case of programming?
Complete Astra J Navi 900 kit
This was a £1200 factory option.
This unit has never been fitted to a car it comes with
Navi 900 radio
CID Display with surround
Navi 900 Radio front
Console trim with SD card slot and USB port
RGB cable to connect Radio to Display (Rare not available from Vauxhall Separately)
USB Cable to connect radio to SD card
Navi 900 SD card map
Plug in wiring loom to make wiring changes if replacing CD300 or CD400
As this is brand new, all options are currently enabled, i.e. bluetooth, DAB, reverse camera.
Whilst the hardware is plug and play, as no VIN is stored, once plugged in the radio will come up with theft protection active, as such it will need a specialist to program your car to accept the radio.

May be plug and play for a car that came out of the factory with Navi 900 installed but that doesn't mean it's plug and play for any Astra

But it has the wiring loom to plug into the exsiting cd400 loom
18:th-Nov-2015, 14:36:42
@sheppy1 what @irmartyn is getting at is the fact it has a custom made loom already made by the seller which will mean it's plug and play into any car with the cd300-400 but they can't program it.
Now providing they have got the wiring right then it should be possible to program it to the car.
I'm waiting on a call from someone who has had the navi retro fitted to arrange a time for me to see I can program it.

Ahhh yes! Sorry I didn't see that part of the listing that he posted. Have found the same listing and looks to be priced about right... Just now comes down to the programming doesn't it.

I bet it probably does not work with the cd400 as yet he has never got a nav working in a car as far as I know
so he can not guaranty his wiring is correct for a retrofit as it's never been retro fitted by him as yet
just having the display and usb cables does not mean it will work other wires etc are needed also
this retrofit is not plug and play don't waste your money before speaking to andy as he also is not doing them at the minute
***** is very good at what he does but as he says in his advert he can not do the programming
for this to work so it's never been tested in a retro fit by him or he just does not what to do it.
