Hi all,

Just turned the car on today and it showed a message on the display saying "check License Plate Bulb". I changed the bulbs to the led ones a few weeks back but have never seen this message before. Anyone know what it's about? Both still work

Cheers

Sounds like a faulty load or maybe a damaged wire
Damn! I knew I'd have issues with these [PENSIVE FACE]

Mine are still and been in for ages.

I know few people have had issues with the loads they are using.

The silver can type seem to be the better quality ones

Ahhh right okay, I have the black style even though the photo showed the silver ones when I bought them [PENSIVE FACE] will it cause issues if I keep getting this error and leave them installed?

No may cause an mot fail due to the error tho

Ahhh... Have my service next month but not MOT I don't think.

just check the connections etc
I'm going to fork out for the r-led ones I think when I do mine.
What are they mate?

Sorted I hope! Well I don't see the error today but took another look at the bulb fitment (wire to the resistor) and thought of something... The original bulbs have a nice protective housing around them to protect the bulbs and the bulb socket. With the new ones the bulb socket (which now has a direct feed into the resistor) isn't protected! It was open to the elements which may consist of water or dust hitting it. So I covered the socket part with electrical tape in the hope that will stop me from seeing any future problems and hoping it may just have been what was chasing causing yesterday's problem

Anyone know if the no more nails stuff is heat resistant? I want to use some of it to secure the resistor in place as I still don't like it just dangling there lol

no it's not you want something like this

I get a check left drl come up all the time... I can't be bothered to undo all of the cabling and recheck it all.... Nothing pressing the clear button doesn't solve, dfor now anyway

I get check left lamp position, but all bulbs seem to be fine...

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Check all rear tail lights as they can give check left right position
I've checked all my bulbs, error only comes up now and then so think line may be a loose wire or something

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
May be a lose bulb do the
Drl dim down for side light you just need to check there all in ok
Yeah all work as they should, even had the Mrs take photos while I selected reverse, put brakes on etc. Mystery

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I did have this happen I just swapped the drl over for new ones and it stoped even thou the old ones still worked
Ah right! I'll eventually get the led ones and load resistors lol!

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mine still does it now even with the wiring checked and tape on the connector etc. But doesn't do or every time... Odd

Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
Maybe just the wiring in general...
