Oh wow! I didn't know something like that existed! Be buying that soon when I have money just in case. Wong help tonto though as it'd an awkward one to get too :(
FINALLY I got round to finishing the installation on mine, then... They beep when I select reverse, don't beep when reversing but beep when deselecting reverse... Help please
Only thing I can think of is the extra yellow wire I have needs splicing to live...
Sensors in and I've wired up the extra wire but still not working...
sounds like the sensors are not plugged into the module maybe
They are mate, I've done everything correctly but now I'm baffled, do sensors need pressed in until they click or ?
does sound like the sensors is the problem here they will only beep when you are close to something
they wont beep if you are just reversing and there is nothing behind you
No I reversed and was very close to a van! Beep when selecting gear and when deselecting, other than that no beeping!
very strange are the sensor connectors in the correct way round and not upside down
may sound daft questions but always best to check everything
I'll double check tomorrow but I'm sure they're in correctly! Hopefully it is something as silly as that
did your sensors come with a join in the cable for the sensors at all
you have power that is for sure but for some reason the sensors dont seem to be giving a signal
go over everything also were did you take power for the AC cable
the set up is not like my ones but very much the same
Sensors plug directly into black box, yeah def power as beep when selecting reverse. Power for AC cable? I've only spliced into reverse light wire. Have I missed something?
do you have any connectors like this on the sensor cables if so check there fitted correct (red lines)
do you have a volume or sensitivity setting on the module if so turn it up (yellow lines)
i think the yellow AC cable would have to be on a permanent live
and not on the same power as the reverse live
rusty@ will be able to tell you were a 12v live is in the back
Ah right thank you, will see why
@Rusty2009 says. yes I have everything that is there but no display just sound. Yeah all were connected properly and I'll turn the adj thingy up and see if that helps any!
Hey mate, did you connect them up to the module in the correct order? Each one in whatever position they are fitted into your bumper need to go into the module in certain positions too. It should have this info in the booklet you will have got with them. Did you test them before fitting them?
yes mate, tested and in correctly..
Can you scan or find an online manual so I can have a look?
That's the 3 wires I've got
Booklet says this
From reading that then I would say you need to hook the yellow up to perm live feed much like a car radio always has a yellow wire which keeps constant power so it doesn't lose radio stations etc.
Ah right ok, do you know where I'd splice that to then? Somewhere in the rear hopefully haha
Only 1 wire I can find in the rear is VT/BN but good knows how many of them are in there.
Ah right where is going to be easiest to connect it to?
TBH I'd just tap onto the rear of the 12v socket.
Ok I'll give that a go, don't suppose there's a how to ? And do I need to remove power from battery or is it a case of as long as ignition is off I'm safe?
I don't unplug the battery mate.
there is not really a how-to but I would suggest before you starting hiding wire just join onto the yellow and then drape it across the car and push the end into the pin and see if it works 1st.
Yeah good idea mate I'll do that
so be a red wire from back of 12v socket? Will let you know if that works
fingers crossed!!
IIRC it's a purple wire mate, there should be 2 one is black which is ground.
Ah right perfect, should only be two wires there?
They have a pin for a 3rd wire but not found any info on TIS for the 3rd.
Ok I will just splice it to the purple wire mate! Hopefully it will then work
Ok so is there an easy way to access the back of the rear 12v socket?
Pop the radio fascia off then where the 12v socket trim is hold it from each side and pull towards you will be very stiff if it's never been pulled out before mate don't be scared of pulling it.
No for the rear 12v socket mate.
I think you need undo some screws on side etc Tucpal may know, I had to one in the rear as my elite didn't come with one.
Ah right, yeah I've removed a screw on each side and I think it just needs popped off but don't want to break anything lol! Help please
@tucpal lol
Ok got the back off, used trim tool and it just pops off, unplugged the 12v socket and found purple and black wire so now to just splice and see if it works...
Also any way to easily hide wire that will run from rear glove box to rear 12v socket?
Under rear seat and carpet
Ok thanks mate, I've tried with it wired up and still doesn't work
:/ I'm baffled.
Just tried again but still not working, I get the initial beep to tell me it's all working. No fault beeps, it just will not beep when reversing. Going to re tea booklet and maybe contact them about it...
Only thing I can think is something must be fault the price of these kits your going to get a few faulty ones as the components are going to be cheap and nasty.
I'd message the seller mate.

I've messaged them just before, will wait and see what they say. Hope they don't want it sent back though haha! But the initial beep indicates all is working and no faults...
One thing I noticed was on a separate picture the yellow and red was other way around to what it says on my cables... So red is ignition and yellow was for reverse light... May be worth a try swapping them over to see if that works.? Thoughts?
Note the labels on red and yellow wire,
Then what I got
looks like the yellow is for the reverse wire
Ok thanks guys I'll give it a go this morning and let you know how I get on
they are all slightly different mate my one only had red and black
Right so I swapped wires around and it beeped soon as I turned engine on and still didn't beep when reversing! Obviously I know it should only beep when selecting reverse... So now I do not know where to go from here.
I reckon its a faulty kit mate
Ah bugger, what a nightmare, I'll have to pull it all back out to send it back...
The guy might just send out a new box wait to hear from him first
He's messaged and asked where I got 12v power from and what car an year, I've replied and am waiting his response
They want me to disconnect all wires and attach black wire to negative and red to positive of battery, is this normal or not? Feel like something might go really wrong lol
what about the yellow wire? is this some test they've asked you to do?
Sounds more like they want you power it from the battery to see if the unit works.
