Dull and metallic
Yeah looks the same, here's mine
ok cool. Is there just the one type of the 2 tone colour trim or is there 2 like the metallic and dull silver. want to get it right this time, otherwise I'm gonna end up with more dash trim than I know what to do with! Ha.
Hahaha yeah better to do your research eh! And I'm not sure mate, as far as I'm aware there is another two tone one but the difference is that the black has a carbon style effect on it (same as my doors and a photo has been posted in this thread) but someone more knowledgable than me may correct me.
do you have a part number or trim code on the back at all
Well I know 13257562 is the dull silver one. Well 'silver dust' to be precise. Not sure what my metallic silver one is because I've not taken it off yet.

i think that may be a good idea i am sure there are 3 silver types
Sod it I've just bought this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Astra...D100044%26

Put in an offer of £18 was on for £25 plus £12 postage so good price really considering what some are going for
What a bargain!
I know. This ones immaculate at well apparently. Put the offer in and they accepted straight away. Wish I'd of gone a little lower now. Ha.

All the others that are £30 are in bad condition. One is on there for £50!

Yeah I noticed how expensive they were when I was looking for mine too. Only thing is you'll want to change the vent trim and door handle trim to match Wink haha
that one looks very good
Nope, I won't be doing that..... 100% sure I won't be doing that.... well maybe..... nope not doing it.....
Ha yeah 100% not gonna happen...opens a tab to see if there are any on eBay Wink you sound like me lol
Haha!

My collection of centre console dash trims. Might start hanging them up on the wall. Reckon they'll look good in the front room. [Image: e7ed5c266384f37dcc1816a79f488082.jpg]

And the chosen trim. Finally got it right....[Image: ad7490566adc42e57f7bbdc623c10cac.jpg]

that looks much better well done Doublethumbs
Hahaha nice collection dude! Bet your house is starting to look like mine with random car parts all over the place :P. But looks great now with the two tone one on! Smile
Ha. Thanks. Yeah the misses ain't happy. No worries tucpal I've sold the dull silver one on eBay and think I'm gonna keep the metallic one. Need to convince the misses now to let me get some alloys. It's really hard to find 19" or 18" vxr ones with 5x115. Most are 5x110

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If you get the J VXR alloys they are 5x115 I think the H is 5x110

The J has the follow 5x105 and 5x115

Thanks Rusty. Found theses on eBay http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vie...1710568318 these would fit I think. Same PCD. Not sure if they'd look good though.

They look smart on the Zafira http://youtu.be/_Js0JuZdcYM

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes mate they will fit.

I do like them Zaffy tourers.
You reckon they'd look nice on an Astra? Be honest, I can take it. They'd need a refurb. 2nd picture looks like ones got chunk taken out

Find me a good pic and I'll do a PS for you,
Ps?

Photoshop
Ha. So of my car and the alloys?

Cheers! Well I think that looks good. Same colour as mine minus the chrome door handles.

Better than these [Image: b06fc77ea103ef28af66a3b475890df4.jpg]

there the bi turbo alloys and they look stunning

Yeah they look smart. Didn't know they where on the any astra models.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just noticed that the red astra j with those alloys is on the info book which came with the car :P looks amazing!
That's car porn right there

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I want the interior from the bi-turbo.
How easy is it to get the centre caps for them alloys?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
the best way is to remove the wheel and then poke them out
if you try from the front you will damage them but they will just push back in when the wheel is back on the car
No the ones I've just bought don't come with centre caps. So I'm gonna need some.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I would say local dealer or autovuax mate.
i have a set but three have marks
How badly marked are they? Also been informed that diamond cut alloys cost more than normal to refurb. I'm Picking them up Saturday.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
yes they have to be polished out the diamond cut alloys
[Image: caps%20006_zpsq7vshjap.jpg]

you could keep the ones you have and put them on your new alloys
and put these on the old ones to sell

but you will need the black ones new there about £50.00

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Genuine-Va...3f4442458c

but you could just wrap the ones you have gloss black

http://www.vxoc.org.uk/forum/Thread-HOW-...entre-caps
they just recut the alloys like this

Cheers for the info.

So the caps on my alloys on my car now will fit on the new ones? I just assumed (due to having zero knowledge on any of this) that they would be different sized caps.
