Hi folks,

I'm new here, so I apologise in advance if this question is in the wrong section!

I currently drive a '61 plate J Sports Tourer, of which I'm in the process of looking in to changing a few things with it. The biggest altercation I want to do is with the centre console - it has no arm rest! I've been on eBay and have seen you can purchase a retrofitted arm rest, however I must admit they aren't great.
I've been looking around the internet as well as speaking to a few people and I have yet to come across a J manual handbrake with an armrest. The breakers on eBay are selling centre consoles with the armrest, only they aren't for the manuals.

I would appreciate any input on this cheers! Smile
welcome Smile

looking on workshop Manuel there looks like there is one.

Yes I have a movable arm rest in mine with manual handbrake.

I'll have look later to see is I can locate one for you, what sort of covering do you want?
Me and Little King both want one aswell. but likewise can only find electronic handbrake ones
Rusty didnt i give you this? when i brought my leather interior
you will only find them on cars after 2013
and even then they were an option
but they are out there somewhere
I think so mate, but it has no armrest on it as you had that.

i want a LHD one to move the handbrake over as its too close to the seat.

Tucpal when I ordered mine it was ment to have EPB but didn't I was told after I noticed no you have to spec EPB now.
some time in 2012 it was made an option as there were a few problems
with the older generation just not getting along with it
and managing to press the clutch after they had applied it
and in doing so relishing the hand brake
i am sure cost cutting played apart also
so it was dropped from prodution
then the standard hand brake was put on the majority of cars in 2012
not long after this the hand brake option got a arm rest
and the EPB became an option
Mines a 14 plate and came with one.
