Cheers , pal. .
Can anyone recommend good quality headlight bulbs?
I have the LED daytime lights which are bright with a hint of blue but my headlight bulbs are the standard yellowish colour so doesn't look right at night.

Either bright white or preferably ones with a slight blue tint.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Philips-HiperV...3a95222965

DO the indicaor bulbs only come like this in holders, or separately, y are they ridiculously expensive compared to normal ones like these

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-OSRAM-PY21...1c413d963a
they come in the holders mate compete they can not be taken out
tucpal Wrote:they come in the holders mate compete they can not be taken out

and is that about as cheap as they come, because i think thats ridiculous for a bulb, the normal ones are only a couple of quid for a pair
yer there not cheap i got my ones for free
but vauxhall do sell them they use them in the vxr
Ah ok well that's good to know, worth ringing vauxhall to see how much they charge for them

Probably the Philips are the brightest but Osram do a decent job too and they last for ever (well, a long time). .

the picture is of a different type of bulb, as to what is fitted and listed for the car, i think they've made a mistake in that listing
i agree there a different type
Ah ok opps I'll go away and be quite that's the 2nd thing today Lol
whats next then Lol
Find the correct type of bulb in silver at a reasonable price please Smile
I've updated the first post with link for some bulbs if I've missed any or think there should be another option please say below and which bulb you are talking about and a link to the bulb you recommend and I will add it to the list.
The H7 main beam (flash to pass) on Halogen.

The H11 corner light on Xenon's.

Are not on the canbus system so you can install LEDS into them with no errors & no need for load resistors.

I will update first post later.

First post updated to include the above info.
I've also update the that front fogs are not on the can bus.
And also the Rear fog light can use the same LED bulb as the reverse bulb.
Right , all my interior bulbs were transferred from my H before I sold it but now I need some new interior LED lamps and I don't seem to have any note of the source of my good ones . Can some fine gentlemen throw in a link . .

I'm willing to pay in beer tokens , when Rusty organises his airshow/ garden Barbie , next summer. .Drink

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-Projector-L...25897edb7d

What can I say lol
lol, so what connection is the DRL mate?

right a real tech question now, as i was taping up rusty's joins this morning before car went to vauxhall. I have broken the lugs on the h11 bulb, I am looking at some LED ones but unsure which will fit inside the facelift housing.
I have see there is like a strip of metal or something going across in the center.

I am looking at these am i correct in saying you dont need loads on the fogs?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Super-Bright-8...258dce158d

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-H11-Xenon-...48734f92d1

anyone tried them at all?
any of them mate lol
i will get the second one lol cheaper
i dont need loads on do i?
not for the fogs mate.

Let me know what they are like I need to buy some too
:-) i will do mate

Next is drls lol

Rusty2009 Wrote:Do you have face-lift model?
yes its a 2014 opel astra 4door
The I would say these for the fog lights
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-H11-Xenon-...48734f92d1

and these for the main beam,
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-80W-Cree-Wh...418cf15ccc

Please note these have not been tested We know they are not on the CANBUS so you wont need any loads and you will not get any errors on the dash.

But whatever you buy it's H11 for fogs and H7 for main beam unless of cause you have AFL in which case it will be H11 for Conner lights and I can recommend these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291287943915?_...EBIDX%3AIT
Thanks alot, are there any option for fitting leds on low beam with load resistors?
you most likely can but you would need two loads to get it totally error free
both the low and side light and DRL are connected on the same circuit
but the light pattern in the halageon reflector may be wrong with the LED and be scatted
i have not seen anyone do it yet on the low beam
So i should just get the kit u sent me earlier from hid direct since its lhd. do i need projectors or anything else with this kit?
http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/astra-mk6-h...xenon-kit/
HIDS and LED are best in a projector set up
you can retro fit the projectors or buy a set
of aftermarket headlights like dewie did
check his progess out for info on them

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You'll have normal bulbs, you can fit leds but you'd need canbus ones
Ok thanks

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
it may not be a good idea if you have DAB
as they can affect reception
as i found out

there is a how to for the J
the same should apply for the GTC

http://www.vxoc.org.uk/forum/Thread-HOW-...AIL-LIGHTS

but as baz says brake lights will need loads to cancel errors
but tail should be ok without errors
Ok thanks I have some 501 bulbs see what happens if get error or problems with dab I will forget the idea. U would think if u pay for led back light u would get led number plate lights. Also I have navi 950 and wen put Bluetooth on for music streaming from iPhone after a cupel of tracks it will go onto audio pause and can't do anything but go onto phone its self to move it on any one Else had this problem. and any idea how to fix it?
